Description

We are seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to join our growing Program IT team. This position will work with internal teams and external clients to deploy and manager technology systems on AWS. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in AWS and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Primary responsibilities

  • Support deployment of in-house developed applications on AWS infrastructure
  • Technical on-boarding of clients with SSO
  • Cross-functional collaboration, requirements gather, and support for cloud systems
  • Determine CPU, memory sizing, and storage requirements for cloud deployments
  • Plan identity and access management for cloud deployments
  • Analyst workload characteristics to ensure balance of performance and cost
  • Implement backup, restore, and business contuity measures
  • Troubleshoot deployment, capacity, automation, and orchestration issues
  • Troubleshoot connectivity and security issues
  • Manage ACLs, Security Groups, and oversee VPC network security
  • Monitor patches, permissions, and service deployments
  • Monitor the modification and use of cloud resources
  • Document systems infrastructure
  • Resolve operational and security issues
  • Manage resource auto-scaling
  • Build and update CloudFormation templates
  • Design DevOps processes

Previous experience and qualifications

  • Scripting experience with BASD, Perl, PowerShell or Python
  • Familiarity with .NET application deployment
  • Server management experience
  • Knowledge of application-level security methods
  • Experience with various virtualization technologies
  • Single sign on administration with SAML, Oauth2, or OpenID Connect
  • 3-5 years experience with AWS, Linux, and web server administration
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Cloud+ or AWS Cloud Practitioner are a plus
  • Must be able to obtain AWS certification within 1 year of employment
  • Ability to work individually and on a team
  • Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
