Description

This position will play a key supporting role in advancing the goals of the Research team and supporting the success of several projects at Education Analytics. This position serves a variety of key functions such as supporting research projects, administrative management, tactical and logistical team support, and cross-team communication.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist Principal Researcher with management and administration of research projects
  • Track progress towards short- and long-term goals of internal and external research initiatives
  • Plan research project launch meetings
  • Support project staffing decisions
  • Execute internal processes for managing the research team
  • Develop and execute knowledge management strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of the research team
  • Manage the grant proposal submission process for the research team
  • Proofread, edit, and format research team documents
  • Provide scheduling and administrative support to research team members

Required Knowledge And Skills

  • Experience with and exposure to academic social science research (e.g., observing or participating in research, contributing to writing & managing grant proposals, contributing to writing & managing conference proposals/journal articles)
  • Familiarity with and interest in quantitative research methods
  • Organizational & project management skills (e.g., documenting next steps, keeping track of progress towards next steps, detail-oriented)
  • Ability to juggle/track multiple time-sensitive tasks on overlapping timelines
  • Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity or shifting timelines
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and with a diverse team
  • Strong skills in spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and presentation software, and website management (specifically Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint; and Google Drive, Docs, Forms, and Spreadsheets)
  • Excellent communicator with experience interacting or supporting collaborative work

Preferred Education And Experience

  • BS required, MS preferred in a directly related field (such as economics, statistics, or education) with 2+ years of experience in social science research and/or social science research administration
